Over the 3-week life of the project, the machines will be resident in different locations. From each of these locations, we will raise awareness about renewable energy and healthy living: people can begin to conceptualise electricity and learn about sustainability while they work out.
The machines are located with organisations committed to the environmental and sustainability agendas and those working with people in the community who may not regularly engage with these themes.

The machines will be at this leisure centre, in the heart of the Barbican, from 9th to 13th September.
As a registered charity, Fusion continually reinvest to improve and develop what’s on offer in the community.
For the fourth year running the City Life Family Festival will take place on Saturday 14 September 2013 at Leadenhall Market.
The 2013 City Life festival will have a theme of sustainability, and that’s where the ‘pedalling power’ machines and you, the public, come in! The gym machines will be at the festival offering you the chance to pedal for power and light up Cheese.
The event itself will be delivered sustainably, and will include specially themed activities and entertainment, including:
- Cooking demonstrations from Love Food Hate Waste
- Recycling and energy-saving activities
- Fairtrade food samples
This family festival is aimed at parents and children from across the City, who can come together to have fun and learn more about their community.
